So exciting.

The portion had many uneven steps and much verticality.
Who knew?
Some people have backpacked and camped portions of the Great Wall. There's enough length to it for months long backpack trip along the wall.
There are little fort/towers regularly spaced along this length of the Great Wall.

What a highlight!
The the tower that faces this sign, was a convenience store/gift shop, one of at least a few that we ran across during our short foray up the great wall. We got two mango ice cream popsicles and had a lovely break on Fort/Tower #10.
Verticality = so worth it!
